The particular theme of the week is connecting with nature and this episode covers some of the benefits to wellbeing to be found in spending time outside in nature and in growing your own flowers and vegetables (even if it's on a very small scale). Carmen and Julia also outline the wider support for mental health and wellbeing which is always available in the college.

In this latest episode from our BTEC Unformed Protective Services team, Paul Moran talks to Sergeant Tony Davenport from RAF Outreach about the fantastic career opportunities offered by the Royal Air Force. Tony outlines his own experiences from nearly 20 years in the service which have included a variety of roles and working in different parts of the world. He also provides some very valuable advice for young people who may be interested in joining the RAF. James is in conversation with UPS teacher Paul Moran, and the two discuss the challenges of a career on the front-line of healthcare, especially during the current Covid-19 pandemic. James talks about the highs and lows of the job and gives very valuable advice for anyone considering a similar career.
